Meet the Fools

We moved to London in 1991, two years after getting married.  At the time, farming was the last thing on our minds! We wanted to raise our family in the country where the kids could run, explore, and learn from nature. We spent the next twenty years homeschooling the children, tending a vegetable garden, and raising chickens. We grew an extensive herb garden, and Lisanne made much of our family's medicine.

 

Then, one day, the kids were grown. It was 2019. For a couple of years, we had been dreaming of turning our land into a small farm where we could glorify God by stewarding the land His way. However, we had doubts that we had enough land to farm and whether being first-generation farmers was possible. With these doubts bouncing in our heads, we began earnestly praying, asking God to guide us.

 

By 2022, two products were coming into focus: organic elderberries and sustainably grown flowers. We love that elderberries restore health and flowers provide beauty, both necessary for a fulfilling life. Through God's grace, this land has given us a fulfilling life, and we hope to share that with our community!
